SUMMER CAMPS 2021

Program-and-Team-Registration.png

Revolution Diving’s 2021 Diving Day Camps are for girls and boys ages 5+ up. All ages are welcome at all camps; participants are grouped based on age and diving experience and abilities. No diving experience is necessary, and this is a great way to try out a new sport! Participants who would like to be grouped with friends can indicate this at registration, and we will do our best to accommodate.

DIVING TRIAL WEEK:

For trampolinists, gymnasts, and natural acrobats!

August 23 to 27

2:00 to 4:00pm

Pan Am Pool

Our popular Diving Camps combine fun, fitness, acrobatics, and of course diving skills! A typical day at camp includes:

- working on the ABC’s of sport (agility, balance and coordination), strength, speed and flexibility - learning and improving acrobatic skills on land and various equipment
- learning safe use and skill progressions on trampoline (Pan Am Pool camps only)
- water sessions for diving skills in both morning and afternoon

- Covid-safe games and fun outdoor activities
All Diving Camp participants must be able to safely swim in the deep end of the pool.

This year we have added Swim & Gym Camps for 6-9 year olds! These camps include all of the elements listed above except for diving in the deep end of the pool. Swim&Gym Camp participants at Pan Am will get to use the dryland training room equipped with trampolines, dry diving boards and platform onto mats. Swim & Gym Camp participants at Seven Oaks will get to use our airmat tumble track, upside-down stations, wobble boards, and mini-platforms onto mats. When it is time for the water, this group will switch sports to work on developing stronger swimming skills. This new program allows young participants to join our camps even if they cannot yet swim in the deep end.

Drop off times: 8:30 am to 9:00 am / Pick up times: 12:00-12:30 pm (half) or 4:00-4:30 pm (full)

Cost: $325 Full Day / $220 Half Day (mornings)

Coaching & Instruction

Revolution Diving provides professional, ambitious and enthusiastic coaching. Our coaches and Instructors are trained through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program), through Diving Plongeon Canada and Sport Manitoba, as well as through in-house apprenticeships and mentorships. Our coaches are up to date with their Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Checks and certified in Respect in Sport (Sport Manitoba), Make Ethical Decisions (NCCP), and Commit to Kids (Canadian Centre for Child Protection).

Health & Safety

Revolution Diving takes the safety of all participants seriously. We follow Dive Manitoba’s Covid-19 Return to Diving Guidelines and the Diving Plongeon Canada Return to Sport protocols. These guidelines and protocols were created from recommendations of Sport Canada,
Own the Podium, the Centre for Ethics and Sport, Health Canada and other bodies.

We altered activities and routines with success in 2020. Diving is a very adaptive sport, and throughout the last year we have remained committed to providing a rich learning environment where children of all ages get plenty of physical activity, learn new skills, and have fun.
